Since 2018, Green Mountains manage and operates 7 main landfills in Abu Dhabi, namely, Al Ain, Madinat Zayed, Jiffin, Jabbana, Mirfa, Ruwais and Sila. These landfills accept around 3 million tons of waste yearly. Our scope includes inspection and reception of waste, operating and maintenance of the weighbridges, record keeping of waste delivered at each site with date and name of the waste generator, waste transporter and access/egress time, recycling and disposal of waste at designated areas according to the type of waste, compaction, levelling and daily covering of waste, road maintenance and complete management and maintenance of the landfill. With such huge quantities of waste, we engage 134 staff member and 46 various types of vehicles and heavy equipment including compactors, dozers, front-end-loaders, tankers and more.
